If simplicity is your thing as far as mobile phones is concerned, you don’t have to look any further than the Eclipse. Designed by Rune Larsen, who came up with the Easy as Pi phone, the Eclipse is about as simple as it gets. It measures 5.5cm when collapsed, and 9cm when open. This handset possesses your standard keypad and a pop-up see-through LCD which is released via a pair of side button triggers. It has SMS support and a phone book, and that’s about it. Whether or not anyone will actually purchase one of these if they make it into production is anyone’s guess. Only time will tell.
