Nowadays cellphones can do just about anything, including smell good. NTT DoCoMo has announced plans to release the SO703i, a handset produced by Sony Ericsson, which comes with a choice of 9 aromas that may prove relaxing to the user. A user can select which aroma he or she likes by changing the phone’s cover panel. Each of the 9 panels has a distinctive scented sheet. Simultaneously announced by NTT is a handset from Mitsubishi, which resembles the Nintendo DS. The D800iDS has a clamshell form factor and, like the Nintendo DS, comes with dual touch screens and stylus. Advanta users will rejoise as they will be able to exchange handwritten messages and drawings in the form of email attachements using the phone’s built-in program.
